Ticket Entitlements

All owners MUST provide Identification when collecting owners privileges.

Admission

When arriving at the turnstiles, all owners with runners engaged on the day, must present either their Victorian’s owners gold card or Photo ID, to get themselves and a guest into the course free of charge.

Members

All owners listed in the racebook are entitled to two (2) Members’ Reserve tickets, (Owners may Purchase up to four (4) additional Members’ Reserve tickets above this entitlement).

Mounting Yard

A maximum of ten (10) Mounting Yard enclosure tickets are available per horse per race.
(eg – 10 named owners in the racebook, each receive 1 Mounting Yard ticket each).
Children under 14 must be supervised and accompanied by an adult at all times.

Syndications

Each syndicate manager is responsible for providing the Club with a list of names before the day of the race meeting of the syndicate members who are to receive the owners entitlements. (If no names have been sent prior to the meeting, then the only person who can pick up the tickets for the syndicate is the syndicate manager)

Owners Not attending, but sending a Representative

If any owner is not going to be in attendance on the day and another of the owners wish to claim the unused tickets, the non-attending owner must provide the Club with a letter of authority to distribute their tickets to the attending owner. Equally if an owner is not going to be present on the day and has a representative acting on their behalf, the Club must receive a signed letter granting approval for the representative to receive the owners entitlement.

Ticket Collection

When you have entered the course please head to the Raceday Office to collect your owners entitlements for the day (If you require Members’ Reserve tickets, you MUST fill in the blue owners form in the Raceday Office).

Dress Regulations

Gentlemen and boys over 14 years of age are required to wear a suit, sports coat or blazer plus tie at all times. However, from 1st November until 1st April or Easter Monday (whichever is later), jackets may be removed.

Ladies and girls over 14 years of age are expected to maintain a suitable standard of dress in keep with the standard of the Members’ Reserve.

Children under 14 years of age should be neatly dressed in keeping with the standards of dress expected from Members and their guests.

The Melbourne Racing Club reserves the right to refuse admittance to the Members’ Reserve to any person not adhering to the dress code.
