Known from its celebrated opening in June 1965 until November 2008 as Sandown Racecourse, today’s Sportingbet Park also enjoys a growing reputation as a first-class function and event centre.

Regarded as the premier entertainment complex in Melbourne's south-east,  Sportingbet Park is situated 25 kilometres from the city centre along the Princes Highway and can be easily reached by either car or train.  Sportingbet Park’s annual thoroughbred racing program comprises 36 race days scheduled on a rotational basis on the venue’s two acclaimed turf circuits – the Hillside and Lakeside tracks.
