Thoroughbred Club Cup Day,Saturday 21st March

Melbourne Racing Club

Dear [FirstName],

Thoroughbred Club Cup Day

Racing returns to Caulfield this Saturday for the first time since the recent Festival of Racing which provided such great highlights. Among these highlights were Reward For Efforts win in the Arrowfield Stud Blue Diamond Stakes and Niconero’s brilliant win in the Rokk Ebony Futurity Stakes for the second successive year. On Saturday, there will be eight races, all carrying prize money of $70,000.

The most intriguing race of the day looks to be the Open Handicap over 1600 metres with the likes of the dual Group One winner Sarrera and 2008 Mornington Cup winner Attrition. Another interesting runner will be Ortensia, a very promising galloper from the Tony Noonan stable. The Testa Rossa filly has won three and been placed another two times from five starts and will be resuming in the 3YO Handicap over 1000 metres. Her last outing was an impressive win in the Tranquil Star Stakes at Caulfield in September.

We look forward to seeing you this Saturday at Caulfield.
