Introduction

These Terms and Conditions form the basis of the Melbourne Racing Club PRIVILEGES program. It is your
responsibility to read and understand them. These Terms and Conditions govern all aspects of the
PRIVILEGES program and every Member is subject to these Terms and Conditions.

Every effort has been made to ensure the information provided to Members in relation to the PRIVILEGES
program is correct however the Melbourne Racing Club is in no way responsible or liable for any inaccuracy in the information provided to Members concerning the PRIVILEGES program.

Melbourne Racing Club reserves the right to change the Terms and Conditions of the PRIVILEGES program at any
time. The Melbourne Racing Club shall use all reasonable endeavours to advise Members of any such changes, but shall not be liable in any way for any failure to do so.

Definitions
Race Day means any thoroughbred race meeting held at either Caulfield or Betfair Park in each Racing Season.
Member means a person who is a current financial, MRC Member of the Melbourne Racing Club.
Racing Season means the period from 1 August to 31 July inclusive.
Caulfield Spring Racing Carnival encompasses The Age Caulfield Guineas Day and BMW Caulfield Cup Day conducted during a Racing Season.
Privilege means a reward obtained by a Member under the PRIVILEGES program.
Race Day Dining and Event booking mean a booking made through the Melbourne Racing Club Sales Department for a race day dining package or event conducted at either Caulfield or Betfair Park Racecourse including The Age Promenade Tiered Dining Restaurant, Winners Circle Restaurant (Spring Carnival only), Bernborough Restaurant, Tulloch Corner, Elvstroem Deck, Members’ Reserved Seating, Railings Village, Rails Enclosure, Young Member Events, Trackside Fashion Luncheon and Winning Post Restaurant at Caulfield, and the Let’s Elope Restaurant or Gallery Restaurant at Betfair Park.
Voucher means a voucher of a specified denomination to be used towards a Race Day Dining Package, Event or Beverages on a race day.
PRIVILEGES program means the scheme operated by the Melbourne Racing Club by which Members earn recognition and rewards for their Membership tenure, attendance at race meetings at Caulfield, Race Day Dining
packages or Event bookings with Melbourne Racing Club, new Member proposals and the purchase of an Annual Guest Pass.

Participation in PRIVILEGES

MRC Members are eligible to participate in the PRIVILEGES program. Absentee, Junior, Club, Clip Clop Club and Honorary Members are not eligible to participate in the PRIVILEGES program.

Use of Your Membership Card

The Melbourne Racing Club Membership Card is required to be used by the Member to record attendance at race meetings at Caulfield.
It is the sole responsibility of the Member to ensure they bring their Membership card to Caulfield to
ensure their Membership Card is scanned through electronic turnstiles on race days in order to track attendance. No
retrospective attendance amendments will be made to those Members who do not adhere to the above conditions.
In accordance with standard Member terms and conditions, the Membership card is non transferable.
Melbourne Racing Club reserves the right to request that Members produce their Membership card at any time whilst
redeeming or utilising any PRIVILEGES.

General

PRIVILEGES are non-transferable.
Vouchers issued as part of the PRIVILEGES program are the full responsibility of the Member. Once issued the
vouchers should be treated like cash because lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.
PRIVILEGES not used within the validity periods will be forfeited.
Years of Membership If you are unable to attend the race day Committee Room hospitality event you are invited to, it is not guaranteed that you can transfer your invitation to another day. This will be subject to capacity and based on availability and at the discretion of the Club.

Attendance at Race Days

Caulfield attendance rewards for the 2010/2011 Racing Season will be based on all race meetings excluding Bletchingly Stakes Day, Saturday 30TH July 2010. 2010 Caulfield Race Day attendance will be attributed to 2011/2012 Member attendance rewards.
Redemption of the complimentary Members’ Reserve Daily Guest passes can only be made by a financial Member in
person at the Race Day Office at Caulfield Only Members who are financial at the time invitations to
exclusive Member events are generated will be eligible for an invite.
The complimentary Members’ Reserve Daily Guest Passes issued can be used for general admission into Caulfield and Members must then proceed to the Race Day Office upon entry into either racecourse to redeem the actual
pass to enter the relevant Members’ Reserve.
Complimentary Members’ Reserve Daily Guest Passes are not valid on The Age Caulfield Guineas Day, BMW Caulfield Cup Day or on Blue Diamond Stakes Day, except those that are specifically identified as being valid for The Age Caulfield Guineas Day, BMW Caulfield Cup or on Blue Diamond Stakes Day.

The complimentary Members’ Reserve Daily Guest passes can only be used once per pass and the personal details of the attending guest must be provided at the Race Day Office prior to receipt of the relevant pass(es).
Race Day Dining and Event Bookings A Race Day Dining or Event booking encompasses any
booking made in The Age Promenade Tiered Dining Restaurant, Winners Circle Restaurant (Spring Carnival only), Bernborough Restaurant, Tulloch Corner, Elvstroem Deck, Members’ Reserved Seating, Railings Village, Rails Enclosure, Young Member Events, Trackside Fashion Luncheon and Winning Post Restaurant at Caulfield,
and the Let’s Elope Restaurant or Gallery Restaurant at Betfair Park.

If a Member books race day dining and events on behalf of other Members, it is only the first-named Member who will be eligible for rewards based on this transaction.
A voucher can be redeemed for a booking or for beverages on a race day in The Age Promenade Tiered Dining Restaurant, Bernborough Restaurant, Tulloch Corner, Elvstroem Deck, Members’ Reserved Seating, Railings Village, Young Member Events, Trackside Fashion Luncheon and Winning Post Restaurant at Caulfield, and the Let’s Elope Restaurant or Gallery Restaurant at Betfair Park during the validity period stated on the voucher.
A voucher can only be redeemed for a booking made via a booking form, phone or in person prior to a Race Day. Vouchers can also be redeemed in a Member Restaurant for beverages on the Race Day of your booking.
A voucher must be used in its entirety in one transaction and no change will be issued.
A voucher is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Each voucher is only valid for use during the validity period stated on the voucher.
Vouchers should be treated like cash because if lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.

New Member Proposals

To be eligible for race day dining and events voucher new Members must be approved by the Committee and have
provided full payment of any outstanding Membership dues.
All new MRC Members must pay an entrance fee, excluding the special $100 offer prior to the 2010 Spring Racing Carnival and the Annual Guest Pass upgrade, for the proposer to be eligible for the reward.
A voucher can be redeemed for a booking or for beverages on a race day in The Age Promenade Tiered Dining Restaurant, Bernborough Restaurant, Tulloch Corner, Elvstroem Deck, Members’ Reserved Seating, Railings Village, Young Member Events, Trackside Fashion Luncheon and Winning Post Restaurant at Caulfield and the Let’s Elope Restaurant or Gallery Restaurant at Betfair Park during the validity period stated on the voucher.
A voucher must be used in its entirety in one transaction and no change will be issued.
A voucher is not transferable or redeemable for cash.
Each voucher is only valid for use during the validity period stated on the voucher.
Vouchers should be treated like cash because if lost or stolen vouchers cannot be replaced.


Introducing Annual Guests to the Club.

“Race Sponsorship Packages" are non-transferable. If you are unable to utilise the package on the day offered, there is no guarantee that you can transfer your package to another day. This will be subject to capacity and based on availability and at discretion of the Club.
Naming rights to a race at Caulfield includes a nominated race, selected at the discretion of the Club being named after you (eg: John Smith Handicap) access to the mounting yard and the opportunity to present the trophy to the winning owner and connections in the Tom North Winning Owner’s Room.
