If we are evacuating the venue, you will be required to evacuate via the nearest exits and assemble either outside the venue or onto the track, depending on the nature of the emergency. Please familiarise yourself with the route to the nearest exit on arrival.

Please remember that a day at the Races may involve significant time under the sun. Time in the sun can cause skin cancer through exposure to UV and heat illnesses. In conjunction with Liquor Licensing Victoria and The Victoria Police, The Melbourne Racing Club staff and management are committed to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) initiatives. All bar and restaurant service staff hold a current RSA certificate and will not serve intoxicated patrons. Patrons that are deemed quarrelsome or intoxicated will be escorted to chill out areas, staffed by competent professionals.
In the event of an emergency, we have strategically placed "Emergency Markers" around the venue. If you are reporting an emergency, please look for one of the green and white signs closest to your location and quote the letters and numbers displayed. These signs have been mapped out by emergency services via GPS, and will ensure the quickest possible response.
