Becoming a Member of the Melbourne Racing Club requires a payment of an annual subscription fee and a once off entrance fee (please refer to table below to determine whether you are eligible for a discounted entrance fee). Payment of an annual subscription fee can be paid in full or by direct debit, however the entrance fee is an upfront payment that cannot be deducted monthly via direct debit.

Current Members who propose a new Member to the Melbourne Racing Club will be rewarded with an $80 Dining and Events voucher, through the PRIVILEGES Program. Below is an outline of the costs of becoming a new Member for the 2011/2012 racing season.

Entrance Fees - MRC and Club Memberships

New members 41 years of age and over are required to pay an entrance fee on their Membership. Members 40 years of age and under are exempt from the entrance fee payment.

• Member of another Racing Club* - $150

• Registered Horse Trainer* - $100
